Driving
Route 1 - Atlantic Coastline via Chapman's Peak
Traveling by motorcycle or car, the scenic
route along Victoria Road follows the coast line from Camps
bay via Odekraal, Llundudno over the neck at Suikerbossie
and down into Hout Bay.
Once through the main street of Hout Bay turn right at the
last traffic circle into Princess Street and proceed to the
M6 Circle (Main Road) - Turn right onto Main road and continue
onto it becomes Chapman's Peak Drive. Follow the signs to
Chapman's Peak. The toll fee is R28 for cars and R18 for Motorcycles.
Once through Chapman's Peak Drive, continue with Noordhoek
until arriving at the M64 Ou kaapse Weg T-Junction. Turn right
and cross two sets of traffic lights. Turn right again onto
the M65 towards Kommetjie at the third set of Traffic lights.
Travel 6.8km until in Kommetjie. Fisherman's Restaurant is
on the corner of M65 (Main Road) and Somerset Way.
Return:
Continue with Main road along the scenic cliffs above the
Slankop Lighthouse and on for 3.7km until four way stop. Pass
over the stop and continue 5km along the coast passed Misty
Cliffs and through Scarborough. 1.1km after Scarborough turn
left at the T-Junction towards Simon's Town up on to Red Hill
Road. Red Hill Road winds for 7.8km down onto Main Road Simons
Town. Turn left and head towards Fish Hoek , Muizenburg. Follow
the M3 (Blue Route) until Ladies Mile Turn off and join up
with Constantia Main Road. Turn left and head over Constantia
Neck back to Hout Bay. |

Driving
Route 2 - Southern Suburbs and Ou Kaapse Weg
Travel along the M3 (Blue Route) South towards
Muizenberg. At the very end of the M3, turn right and proceed
through Westlake area, stay left at the fork and head up and
over Ou Kaapse Weg. Follow Ou kaapse Weg down into Sun Valley
and to the traffic lights intersection of the M65.
Turn right onto the M65 towards Kommetjie at the third set
of Traffic lights. Travel 6.8km until in Kommetjie. Fisherman's
Restaurant is on the corner of M65 (Main Road) and Somerset
Way.
Return:
Continue with Main road along the scenic cliffs above the
Slankop Lighthouse and on for 3.7km until four way stop. Pass
over the stop and continue 5km along the coast passed Misty
Cliffs and through Scarborough.
1.1km after Scarborough turn right at the T-Junction towards
Cape Point and follow the M65 main road passed the Cape of
Good Hope Nature Reserve turn off (Optional). Continue along
the coast rounding the point at Smitswinkles Bay through Millers
Point (M65 becomes the M4)and on to Boulders Beach and into
Simon's Town. Continue on the coastal road (M4) passed Glencairn
and Fishoek. At Kalk Bay you have the option of following
the coastal road further through St James and to Muizenberg
or turning left up Boyes Drive over and above Muizenberg,
both routes will meet up with Steenberg road ( M42) which
will take you back to the M3 (Blue Route). |

Delight
From the Macassar Coast line through Muizenberg, and the
windy old Redhill Pass above Simons Town, or the Atlantic
Seaboard routes from Clifton and Camps Bay, topped off
by spending an afternoon dinning at Fisherman's and the
sights you will see getting here make it a memorable occasion
no matter where you're coming from.
